The Enchanted Inkwell Ltd is committed to making its websites accessible and welcoming to as many people as possible, including people with disabilities.

This accessibility statement applies to:

 
Our accessibility aims

We are working towards meeting the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2, level AA.

We aim to make it possible for visitors to:

  • navigate the websites using a keyboard;

  • zoom in without losing important content or functionality;

  • use common screen-reading and speech-recognition software;

  • understand the content through clear language and logical headings;

  • identify links, buttons and form fields;

  • view text with sufficient colour contrast; and

  • access meaningful descriptions of important images.

You may be able to improve your experience by changing your browser or device settings, including text size, colours, contrast and screen-reader options.

Accessibility status

Our websites have not yet undergone a complete independent accessibility audit. We are reviewing and improving them with the aim of meeting WCAG 2.2 level AA wherever reasonably possible.

Because parts of the websites are provided through Wix, Shopify and other third-party services, some functionality may be outside our direct control.


Known accessibility limitations

We are currently reviewing the websites for accessibility issues. Areas that may not yet be fully accessible include:

  • some images that may not have sufficiently descriptive alternative text;

  • some decorative images that may be announced unnecessarily by screen readers;

  • the structure and order of some headings;

  • some forms, menus, shopping and checkout features supplied by Wix or Shopify;

  • colour contrast on certain text, buttons or design elements;

  • keyboard navigation and visible keyboard focus on some interactive features;

  • content or functionality supplied by external websites and social-media platforms; and

  • older pages or documents that may not have been created with accessibility in mind.

We will make reasonable improvements when issues are identified and when website content is updated.

If you cannot access information or complete a task through our websites, please contact us.

We can help with:

  • information about our products and services;

  • placing or discussing an order;

  • workshop and event information;

  • information in a different format, where reasonably possible; and

  • questions about visiting our physical shop.

Reporting an accessibility problem

We welcome feedback about the accessibility of our websites.

If you encounter an accessibility problem, please email info@enchantedinkwell.co.uk and include, where possible:

  • the page or web address where you experienced the problem;

  • a description of what happened;

  • the device and browser you were using; and

  • the type of assistive technology you were using, if applicable.

This information will help us investigate the issue. We will consider your request and make reasonable efforts to provide the information or service in an accessible way.
 

Third-party services

Our main website is hosted by Wix and our online shop is operated through Shopify. We also link to external websites and social-media platforms.

We cannot always control the accessibility of content or functionality provided by these third parties, but we will raise accessibility issues with the relevant provider when appropriate and look for reasonable alternatives where possible.

It is based on a review of the website’s content and services. It will be updated as accessibility improvements are made or new issues are identified.

We intend to review this statement regularly and after significant changes to either website.
