Worth Discovering: Andhand

One of my favourite parts of running The Enchanted Inkwell is discovering brands that deserve to be better known.

The brands featured in this series aren’t necessarily the biggest names in stationery. They’re the ones that have sparked my curiosity, stayed on my mind long after I first discovered them, or made me think, people need to know about this.

Andhand feels like the perfect place to begin.

I’ve been looking forward to this delivery since I discovered them at the London Stationery Show.

While at the show, I met founders Simon and Joe and spent some time getting to know the brand and trying their products for myself. From beautifully engineered writing instruments to thoughtfully designed desk accessories, everything felt purposeful, considered and exceptionally well made.

But it was the Aspect Fountain Pen that stayed with me.

If you’ve spent any time in the shop, you’ll know that fountain pens are very much our thing. We write with them every day, test them, talk about them and help customers find the right one. It takes something special to make me stop and pay attention.

The Aspect did exactly that.

The first thing I noticed was the weight and balance. It feels substantial without being heavy, beautifully engineered without feeling clinical. Then there was the writing experience itself: smooth, effortless and reliable, with ink flowing perfectly across the page.

And the finish is simply stunning.

The depth of colour has a warmth to it that caught my eye immediately and stayed with me long after I left the show.

In fact, weeks later, I was still thinking about that pen.

That’s usually a sign.

So I’m delighted to say that Andhand is arriving at The Enchanted Inkwell.

We’re beginning with the Aspect Fountain Pen and inks. Fountain pens sit at the heart of what we do, and this felt like the natural place to start.

I already have my eye on the rest of the collection too. Their rollerballs, ballpoints and beautifully designed desk accessories share the same philosophy: everyday tools made exceptionally well. There’s even a new pencil sharpener on the horizon that I’m quietly hoping will find its way onto our shelves before too long.

At The Enchanted Inkwell, we’re always looking for products that earn their place on a desk.

Things that are made to be used, enjoyed and kept for years rather than replaced a few months later.

Andhand feels like a natural fit.

The first pens arrive tomorrow and I can’t wait to get them into people’s hands.
