Worth Discovering: Coffee Notes

Some products win you over because of the people behind them. Others because of the product itself. Coffee Notes managed both.
I first came across Coffee Notes at the Stationery Show last year. There are always lots of brands to discover, but this was one I found myself coming back to. The idea caught my attention, but as lovely as the story is, a product still has to earn its place on our shelves.
So I took one home and tried it for myself.
Made from recycled coffee cups, Coffee Notes has a great story behind it, but what caught my attention was the paper. It only took a few words with a fountain pen to know I was onto something good. The paper handles ink beautifully, and even stands up to paint.
It’s the sort of paper that makes you want to keep writing for just one more page.
One of my favourite details is hidden just inside the cover.

It’s a simple message, but it makes me smile. Over the last few months I’ve found myself thinking a lot about slowing down, paying attention and making space for the things that matter. There is something about that little message that feels very fitting.
After all, a notebook is one of the few things that asks almost nothing of us. No notifications. No deadlines. Just a blank page and somewhere to put a thought before it disappears.
One of the things that still makes me happy is that the notebook sizes are inspired by coffee cups. From the tiny Shot notebooks to the pocket Piccolo, and larger Medio and Grande sizes, the whole range feels carefully considered.

Since they arrived in the shop, I’ve lost count of the number of times someone has picked one up and said, “That’s such a useful size.” It has been lovely watching customers discover them for themselves.
The Shot notebooks have quickly become a favourite of mine. They’re small enough to keep in your pocket, which means I nearly always have one with me. At the moment mine contains a mixture of notes, observations, reminders and the occasional shopping list.
I’m rather looking forward to seeing it when it’s full.
Why we think it’s worth discovering
● Paper that makes you want to write
● Thoughtful details in every notebook
● A clever idea brought beautifully to life
